How our customers think about value for money.

When comparing the costs of different possible thermal improvements to your home, you will find Retrovive very cost-effective. For example, replacement double-glazed windows would help with comfort but only improve a small part of the wall area in the room. Whereas, the floor area is many times larger in square metres - possibly 10 times larger than the windows. This means much greater improvement in comfort from Retrovive for a similar, and often less, cost per room.

Another way of looking at the cost is to compare it with other expenses. For example, insulating the ground floor of your home could cost the same as a short holiday or some garden landscaping. However, unlike these projects, insulating your floor benefits you every day of the year, forever more.

The benefit to you is not only comfort - insulated homes take less energy to keep warm, so you'll notice the effect on your heating bills every month. One customer reported back the following energy-saving figures following our installation:

"Average Daily Usage (KWh per day) winter/spring period:

Over this period last year = 76.66

Over this period (after Retrovive) = 43.85

"What’s even more remarkable is we have had a quite prolonged cold spell compared to the year before too. The house is holding the heat much better now. The boiler doesn’t switch on so much hence the lower daily usage. Cheaper bills and a nice homely feel. Thanks again for a good job. Nigel Boon, Slough"

We price each job quickly and accurately from some simple questions.

Costs are estimated according to factors such as the room measurements and often we can give a cost estimate based on the information you provide in an email or a call.

Sometimes we will come and visit you and your property, without charge, to ensure we have a full understanding of your expectations and the size of the project. Plus, we always enjoy meeting our customers in person!

Our quote includes all materials, travel and our Warm Home Guarantee. We don't ask for large up-front payments and we stick to the quote we give for the work.

Insulating a suspended timber floor is as much a small building job as it is installing insulation. Even so, Retrovive is minimally disruptive and quicker compared to most alternative methods of insulating under floors.
