Along with great thermal performance, the Retrovive cellulose-fibre insulation system has excellent soundproof properties.

Our blown-in cellulose-fibre insulation has a high density when installed (around 50 kg/m³). Together with the randomness of the fibre directions, this makes it very effective at absorbing sound.

Using it underneath traditional suspended ground floors makes a very noticeable difference when floorboards are left uncovered, a characteristic that most customers remark on – it is much quieter walking across the room and the atmosphere feels much more calm generally.

In fact, we have also used it as sound-absorbing insulation in intermediate floors for this benefit, significantly reducing noise between upstairs and downstairs.

We all need a little peace and quiet sometimes - particularly when working from home. Speak with our team today to find out how we can make your living environment more comfortable.
